I use them to work on cylindrical pieces on a milling machine. A little too small but well-made/good quality.

My application is a lot different than most people's. I'm using these in a laser lab to hold laser rods for testing. They'll do just fine for this. I noticed a lot of people have complained about the poor quality of the clamps that are included. I think they beefed them up in the interim, because the set I received appear to be quite heavy and stout. They're made from cast iron/steel. Everything is heavily coated in cosmoline or similar material for rust prevention. I'm not too concerned about parallelism or flatness but they appear adequate. Considering a similar sized set from other brands will cost more, I'll take these!

Works well for the use, I've always had good luck with Crystal products including larger metal working and wood working equipment.

I was somewhat concerned when purchasing these as some of the other reviewers have complained that they are not match ground. For all intents and purposes mine are perfect. I inspected them on the surface plate and they are as precisely matched to each other as I can possibly measure. Haven't tested the clamps yet but they seem to be made better than some of the cast clamps you see in the v-blocks in this price range.
