Not a bad Chuck after a good clean deburr and property lubed. It will work for the projects I have planned.

I wanted to be a lathe guy... I bought legit every signal lathe cuck style in 3,4,6 jaw and 4 to 6 inches... this just went on and has not come off. The run-out was about 1-2 thou (1 to 3-inch ultra-precision ground rods) ... acceptable for mini-lathe standards but I spent a few hours, and I got the chuck bored to around 3/10 ish thou run-out.

I was quite impressed with this product, it is a Seco lathe chuck and is of surprisingly good quality for the price.I have not actually used the product yet so I cannot speak to runout accuracy or anything. Like most lathe chucks it requires a back plate to mount the lathe chuck. It comes with the extra jaws shown and comes with the tightening wrench. It works smoothly, tightens well, the jaws are easily removed and changed out.This is a vastly better quality lathe chuck than what my nearly 50 year old metal lathe originally had. My original Delta/Craftsmen lathe chuck weighs 1/3 what this one does, is made of light pot metal and is not self centering like this newly purchased lathe chuck is. I am very impressed by the quality and the price of this unit.

Works so much better than the three jaw chuck.
