Description
The Trumax CNC Dead Center with Draw-off Nut is a precision-engineered tool designed for high-accuracy turning operations on CNC lathes equipped with a live tailstock. Built from premium materials and manufactured to exacting standards, this dead center delivers outstanding rigidity, minimal runout, and long operational life.
Smaller tapers (up to MT-4) are made from bearing-grade EN-31 steel, through hardened to 58–60 HRC for exceptional wear resistance. Larger tapers (MT-5 and above) use 20MnCr5 steel, case-hardened to the same hardness range, ensuring durability under heavy-duty loads.
Each center is precision ground, with a tip runout within 0.015 mm relative to the Morse taper, conforming broadly to DIN 807 standards.
Key Features
High-Precision Build: Tip concentricity within 0.015 mm ensures smooth rotation and minimal vibration.
Durable Materials: EN-31 (small size) and 20MnCr5 (large size) steels hardened to 58–60 HRC for superior longevity.
With Draw-off Nut: Simplifies removal from the spindle while protecting the taper and center point.
DIN 807 Compliant: Ensures consistent accuracy and interchangeability across tooling systems.
Optimized for CNC Lathes: Designed for machines with live tailstocks to enhance turning precision.
