Steelsmith Steelsmith H-215 Series Horizontal Hold Down Action Clamps
Horizontal Hold Down Action (HTC-Series): The holding action in these types of Toggle Clamps is same as VTC-Series clamps. The outstanding characteristic is the low height design. Unlike the handle & the clamping bar of the VTC-Series, these of the H-Series clamps move in opposite direction. The holding capacities range upto 1,000 kgs. The clamping arm can be solid bar, U shaped or fixed hole type. The SF Series have solid hold down bar which has a fixed guide bush at its end for the spindle assembly. The SB Series have a "U" bar arm which the bolt retainer can be welded at any desired angle. The UB Series have a "U" bar arm which enables one or more spindles to be moved into any desired position along the arm.

 This extra heavy and ruggedly made testing stand with fine adjustment is used wherever the highest accuracy is required .  It can be used for inspecting mounted pieces on a bench centre for run out.  The surface of the H-formed base, the column and the extension arm are precision ground.  The column can be moved and clamped in any position on the base with a knurled nut.  The extension arm which can be adjusted in height, moved lengthwise and swiveled is sufficiently rigid that vibrations during the measurement even with the fullest extension, are at a minimum.

Armatech Associates Crystal Universal Surface Gauges
The base is made from case — hardened steel, ground on the bottom and at one end.  There is a depression in each side for the thumb and fingers and the groove in the base adapts it for use on cylindrical as well as flat surfaces.  There are two gauge pins frictionally held, which can be pushed down and used against the end of a surface plate on a T- slot for linear work.  The fine adjustment feature makes it possible to obtain quick and accurate settings.  The spindle which passes through rotating head or lower sleeve can be set above or below the base. The hardened and ground scriber can be set at any position on the spindle which in turn can be set at any angle.
